Meet our Staff

Miss MaryBeth Director	Miss MaryBeth is from Canonsburg, Pa where she lives with her husband and 2 children, a boy age 13 and a girl age 11. Miss MaryBeth has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She is also currently taking online classes at Northampton Community College to earn her Director’s credential. Miss MaryBeth started at UP with Kids back in March as the assistant director and became director in June. Before joining our team she worked at Bethel Presbyterian Childcare in Bethel Park. She is a current and active member of Canonsburg UP Church where she was the VBS director for 5 years and taught for 3 years prior as a 2^nd grade teacher for VBS. In her spare time, Miss MaryBeth likes to read on her pool deck and enjoys watching her children play soccer and karate. Miss MaryBeth also has a dog and a cat.

Miss Lori began her career in childcare by earning her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Wheeling Jesuit University and has been a teacher for several years now. Along with being a Pre- K teacher for other centers, she was also a substitute teacher for several local districts. She lives in Washington and loves to spend time with her family and friends. She loves animals and has many pets at home. She enjoys doing arts and crafts, especially painting, and likes to bring these projects to the classroom for the kids to try out! She spends a lot of time outdoors and goes camping every weekend during the summer. She is also a big Pittsburgh Penguins fan!	Miss Lori Preschool

Miss Kim Infants	Miss Kim was born and raised in Houston, PA, where she currently live with her husband, Dave and my 15 year old son, Tyler. She attends and is very active in the First United Presbyterian Church of Houston. Over the past 23 years, she has worked with all ages of children from birth to teen years, including 4 years of work as a Teacher Assistant in the New Jersey Public School System with children having multiple disabilities. Her philosophy is that children can learn so much from daily experiences if given the opportunity to explore their world and be exposed to new things in a safe environment tailored to their age and individual abilities. She finds working with children and bringing out their full potential to be quite rewarding.

Miss Ashley is currently helping us in the infant room and the older toddler room. Miss Ashley has a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and lots of experience with young children. A lot of the pictures you see were taken by her. We’re glad to have her with us!	Miss Ashley L Infants

Miss Nicole Young Toddlers	Miss Nicole is from Vestaburg, PA where she lives with her husband Justin, daughter Athena and son Jonah. She is a 2002 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her BSBA in Accounting and Marketing. In January of 2009, she graduated from the University of Phoenix Online where she studied Early Childhood Education and earned her Master of Arts in Education. Her previous daycare experience includes work through an AmeriCorps early literacy program called JumpStart during her time at Pitt, a work study position at the Carriage House in Squirrel Hill, and being a group supervisor at the Pumpkin Patch Daycare Center in Vestaburg. In her spare time she likes to write, watch movies, bake, and spend quality time with her family. She is also very involved with children’s ministry at her church including directing VBS and teaching Sunday School.


Miss Monica Older Toddlers	Miss Monica is the assistant teacher in the Older Toddler room. Miss Monica graduated from Trinity High school. She used to be the Director of the child care at Alexander’s Athletic Club. Miss Monica has 2 girls of her own, ages 6 and 10.

Miss Amanda helps in all of our rooms, especially in the Young Toddler and Preschool rooms. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also the assistant soccer coach at Harrison Middle School in Baldwin.	Miss Amanda
Miss Melinda	Miss Melinda livesin Canonsburg with her daughter and 2 sons. She has over 10 years of experience working with children. Miss Melinda helps mostly in the infant room and also makes lunches and snack for us. Miss Melinda is a graduate of Canon McMillan high school. She also has a dog and several cats.
